2025 was a year that reminded me why I create in the first place. My art has always been rooted in joy. It is my place to explore, to reflect, and to feel grounded. That part of my practice has never changed. What did grow this year was my openness to sharing more of that joy with others.
One of the first opportunities I stepped into was the Vanderbilt University exhibition. I came across the call for submissions through something Yen Ospina shared and decided to try. It was a simple choice, but it became my first small taste of sharing my work outside the comfort of my studio. Later in the spring, Valentina Harper encouraged me to continue stepping into these moments. Her support helped me recognize that my art could live in more places than I had ever considered.
The full year unfolded in a way that felt both surprising and affirming:
Art Exhibition: Vanderbilt University Nashville, TN 04.2025 to 01.2026
Featured Art: Tomato Art Fest Nashville, TN 08.07.2025 to 08.10.2025
Featured Design: Nashville Predators Nashville, TN 10.25.2025
Each experience this year helped me grow. I learned to speak about my work with more clarity, to trust my creative instincts, and to honor my voice as an artist.
Looking back, I am grateful for every opportunity, every lesson, and every moment of growth. 2025 was a year shaped by joy, intention, and curiosity. I am stepping into 2026 with an open heart and a genuine excitement for what comes next.
